Dannhauser fit for any challenge

Fitness Group conquers their first marathon

The Dannhauser Fitness Group continues to inspire and amaze all those who come across them.

Recently 27 members entered the Volksrust Marathon, with 25 of them completing the 10kms, one completing the 32km race and one tackling the 21.1km.

Among the team of 27, all who finished was 80-year-old, Rosy Maharaj, who is the team’s eldest walker. Sharda Narothum once again showed her class by powering through the 32km and Lall Badrinarian took on the challenge of the 21.1km race.

Both finished in good times. More challenging than the actual event was getting to the race, as team members had to leave at 3:30am to make it to the event in time.

However, their dedication and hard work paid off as the Dannhauser Fitness Group proved that they have got what it takes to perform in the bigger stages.

The team are now looking forward to their next race on March 5 in Newcastle.
