Dining and dancing for charity on Valentine’s Day
While guests enjoyed the starters, Yashdeer Entertainers provided modern music and ballads.
Rainbow Angels has proved that love, on Valentine’s Day, is not just an emotion shared between couples.
At its Valentine’s Dinner and Dance fundraiser held at Grey Goose Game Lodge recently, the nonprofit organisation had a sold-out show which catered for the celebration of love and care for the community.
The vision of Rainbow Angels is to become an integral part of the local and in turn the national community, and assist other organisations which offer solace to victims of abuse, abandonment, neglect and domestic violence.
“Our aim is to ensure these victims do not suffer in silence, and we believe it important to identify the organisations which care for them,” said vice chairperson and emcee of the evening, Tanuja Lakhan. “By contributing to the event you are making a difference in many lives affected. Thank you for your generosity.”
At the start of the evening, complimentary drinks welcomed guests as they made their way to the elegantly draped tables, which created an intimate and romantic setting. While guests enjoyed the starters, Yashdeer Entertainers provided modern music and ballads.
As the main course was served, the aroma of freshly roasted meat and curries filled the air, leaving guests spoiled for choice. Guests later had the opportunity to shake off the calories, when the live music band played upbeat tunes such as Burnout by Sipho ‘Hotstix’ Mabuse.
Replenishing much needed energy, dessert was served to recharge the diners before they headed back to the dance floor.
Rainbow Angels thanked its sponsors and guests for sharing the evening and contributing to making a difference the lives of abused, abandoned and neglected victims.
