Tourists complete alphabet challenge at local parkrun

Sadly, the parkrun was cancelled for last Saturday morning due to the course being water logged.

Finish line volunteers Anet and Sally were out and about early the previous Saturday morning to assess the muddy puddles on the parkrun course to ensure that all participants were safe during the event.
Nhlanhla Ncube once again left his opponents in the dust (although there was no dust, only mud). He led from start to finish, thereby claiming his 90th first place. What an achievement!
Natalie Gaskell finished first in the ladies’ division. There were no personal best times, but parkrun did have a few newcomers: Chardaè and Lyra, as well as Lizelle, a visitor from Bethlehem. Vryheid parkrun was also honoured to welcome Parkrun World Tourists, Simon and Lisa, who are from Australia. These two renowned parkrunners have done over 1000 events between them. Last Saturday, they completed their international alphabet challenge at Vryheid parkrun.
Take note that parkun takes place every Saturday morning at 08:00, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun and laughter while getting fit and healthy.
