Vryheid community rallies behind Child Welfare at golf day

Golfers and sponsors come together to raise funds for Vryheid Child Welfare’s vital work.

Vryheid Child Welfare’s annual golf day took place on Saturday, with 100 golfers and a number of supporters from across the area gathering for a day of sport and giving. The main sponsors guided the day, making sure everything ran smoothly from the first tee to the final hole.
Jill Dahl, who leads Vryheid Child Welfare, welcomed everyone and thanked them for their support. “Events like this show how much our community cares about the children who rely on our services,” she said.

The players enjoyed a day of friendly competition, connecting with each other while supporting a good cause. The course was alive with laughter, cheers and impressive shots, and the sense of camaraderie was clear.
A heartfelt thank you went to all the sponsors, whose generosity made the day possible. Their support allows Vryheid Child Welfare to continue providing essential care to children and families in need. Dahl said, “Wow, what an unforgettable Child Welfare Golf Day! Huge thanks go to Siyaxhasana Construction, our amazing sponsors, the business who gave our golfers refreshment on the course, our donors and supporters who blew us away with your generosity. We are humbled and so grateful!” She indicated that the day exceeded all of their expectations and that they raised much-needed funds.
