‘Bull’ gets ready for revenge after betrayal at Thunderstrike
Joshua Chetty is seeking redemption after an accidental spear ended his WWP Thunderstrike Championship aspirations.
Joshua ‘The Bull’ Jesse Chetty stepped into one of the biggest matches of his career at WWP Thunderstrike in Port Elizabeth, teaming with hardcore veteran ‘Nightmare’ to challenge Ryan Cage and Ananzi for the WWP/WAW World Tag Team Championships.
Betrayal changes everything
After an intense contest, an accidental spear left ‘Nightmare’ stunned, allowing Ananzi to retain the championships. Frustrated by the loss, ‘Nightmare’ blamed Chetty before attacking him with a steel chair.
The rivalry continued backstage, where ‘Nightmare’ challenged ‘The Bull’ to a one-on-one showdown in Chatsworth before WWP/WAWSA CEO Mark Beale intervened.
A score to settle
Chetty says the rivalry is now about more than championship gold.
“I came to Thunderstrike to fight for championship gold, but I left fighting for my respect. When we meet in Chatsworth, I’ll be ready.”
The stage is now set for a deeply personal showdown between two former allies in what promises to be one of South Africa’s most anticipated wrestling battles.
The action-packed WWP/WAW World Tag Team Championship match was recorded for national television and will air on SABC 2. You can see how it all unfolds.
