Breaking News: Protest action in Ladysmith, municipal workers block off CBD

Municipal workers have blocked off most parts of the CBD this morning (May 9).

Alfred Duma Local Municipality staff and vehicles are blocking off main intersections in town.

Municipal water tankers, graders, trucks and vans are blocking roads.

Some of the streets that are barricaded are Murchison, Alexandra, Lyell Street and Crawshaw Road.

It is unknown at this stage what the workers are protesting about.
