‘Tornado’ hits Clifdale area

What is believed to have been a semi-tornado ravaged through the Clifdale part of Hlobane this afternoon, leaving homes extremely damaged.
AbaQulusi Municipality has sent out their disaster management task team to the area to aid community members who have been indisposed by the natural calamity.
Although he could not corroborate much as yet, AbaQulusi’s TS Mthembu confirmed that the storm had been reported and that certain homes were said to be affected.
“We have team members who have headed out to the area. I cannot confirm much at the moment as I do not have a full report. We will only know what exactly happened and how many people were affected once team members have assessed the matter,” he said.

Mr Mthembu said that he would have more information by tomorrow.
