The Destiny Writers community project, organised by Emnambithi Library Services, held the Dancing Pencils graduation ceremony on Saturday at the Agra Crescent Library.
The project, which is headed up by Sandy Maharaj and Geeta Sugoo, is aimed at giving youngsters with a passion for words the chance to show off their writing talent.
Dancing Pencils mentor Donna Iyer spoke at the graduation. The young, talented writers sat patiently and waited for their names to be read out to accept their awards; just reward for all the effort they have put in. Vimmi Ramdaas from the Minority Front handed out the trophies to the proud young writers.
