NHS excel in science expo
Rutendo Muzondo, Raakhee Ramkissoon, Buhle Thomson, Zama Ngwenya, Njabulo Mthanti and Lungelo Sigudla participated in the National Expo for Young Scientists held in Johannesburg during the September school holidays. Newcastle High School is very proud of Njabulo and Lungelo who were each awarded a silver medal for their respective projects. Newcastle High School is very proud of Njabulo and Lungelo who were each awarded a silver medal for their respective projects. Lungelo was also nominated to attend the International Science Expo in 2014. He was also fortunate to be interviewed by e.tv and had an interview with the Minister of Public Enterprise, Malusi Gigaba.
The Expo pupils and teachers are very grateful to Mrs Jean Anderson and Rina Oosthuizen, from Egerton Primary, who accompanied the pupils and helped them in finalising their projects for the National Competition.
