VHS – Fourth term ending well

THE captain of the Regional 7’s Rugby Tournament, Arrie Radebe lead his team to victory in the recent Inter-Provincial games played in Hluhluwe. He was selected as player of this tournament where he represented Zululand District. S Mbatha, K Khosa, S Makhumu were the other VHS members of this team. Well played boys!
First Cricket Team: VHS first team Boys’ Cricket played their last 2 matches last week. They beat Ferrum with 30 runs. Martin Niebuhr stood out as he took 5 wickets and Elandré Groenewald with the bat made 83 runs.
They also beat Dundee with 9 wickets. They bowled Dundee out for 87 runs making the target in 4 overs. A good way to end off a very successful season. Well done boys!
Old VHS Scholars Excell: Two ex-learners of VHS have performed extremely well. Willy Engelbrecht wat in 2006 hier gematrikuleer het , het nou al die volgende verwerf: sy B.Comm, Honeursgraad, en Meestersgraad in Toerisme Bemarking en Bestuur.Vanaf 2012 tot tans is hy Lektor in die bogenoemde by UNISA in Pretoria waar hy ook sy studie voortsit om sy PHD te voltooi, hopenlik einde 2014.
Sy suster Mandy Engelbrecht, wat in 2005 hier matriek verwerf het, het ook uitstekend gepresteer. Van 2006 tot 2008 het sy haar BA graad in Kommunikasie en Joernalistiek voltooi. Sy voltooi ook haar Meestersgraad (deeltyds) ook in Engelse Literatuur wat sy toekennings in ontvangs geneem het gedurende Mei 2013.
Sy is werksaam by CUMM Boeke se hoofkantoor; gedurende 2011 en 2012 en is tans.
