Double life sentence for child rapist

A child rapist has been given a double life sentence, thanks to the dedication of the Dundee Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS).
Lucky Ntuli (26 at the time of the incident) was found guilty of the rape of two sisters, one 10 years old and the other 12.
The sisters were on their way home after buying bread from a shop when the culprit approached them.
When they reached the river where they had to cross, he forced them to lie down in the tall grass and instructed them to remove their underwear.
The elder sister tried to run away but was overpowered.
He then raped both girls.
He repeatedly raped them despite their pleas for help and cries of pain.
It was only when the girls heard someone calling for them that they managed to answer back, getting the attention of the caller.
The accused then warned them not to say anything at home, as he would stab and shoot them.
They assured him that they would not report the matter; however, when they returned home they immediately reported the incident and were able to take their family to the shop and point out the accused.
A case of rape was opened at the Nquthu Police Station, and the investigation was handed to the Dundee FCS Unit.
On October 29, a double life sentence was handed to Lucky.
The Dundee FCS Unit is very pleased with this conviction and commends the hard work and dedication of the investigating officer, female Constable PO Kumalo.
