A launch was held yesterday (Saturday) in celebration of the new book release from pupils at ML Sultan Primary School. An anthology of poems, written by various pupils at the school, was launched at the Agra Library. The book is a collection of poems written by the children on various topics, including holidays, exams and fears.
This KZN Premier programme was organised by Sandy Maharaj of Ladysmith Library Services and the pupils were tutored in the English language by Donna Iyer of ML Sultan. The project was made possible by the sponsorship of the Honourable Vimmi Ramdaas-Bachu of the Minority Front (MF), who also kindly sponsored the printing of the books.
There to join in the celebrations was Thembi Njoko from the Youth Development & Gender Equality section of the Department of Education. Also there was ML Sultan principal Mr DS Ramkelawan, along with the proud parents and their children.
