Tasty learning in Ezakheni

The pupils were involved in the whole process of making pizzas

The grade 2s from Hamilton Preparatory School visited the new Roman’s Pizza shop in Ezakheni this week.

The pupils were involved in the whole process of making pizzas, from the weighing out of ingredients to the rolling and spiking of the dough to ordering and then making their own delicious pizzas. They watched in eager anticipation as the pizzas emerged from the oven on a conveyor belt.

The proof was in the eating and many sounds of delight were heard as they took their first bite.

Knowledge learnt at school was put into practical use as they had to measure and weigh out the dough and the toppings.

Our thanks go to the staff who were so patient in helping and guiding the pupils in measuring out the ingredients and in showing them how each step of the process was to be carried out.
