Uelzen ends 2013 on an academic high

Exceptional results from the class of 2013

Uelzen Primary’s annual academic prize-giving was enjoyed by all who attended. During the Foundation Phase prize-giving certificates were presented to all learners for their good achievements. The following trophies were awarded:
Trophy for the Most Improved in Personal Development: Tristan Naudé
Trophy for the Most Improved in Academic Development: Hannah Box
The Charlies SuperSpar Scholarship for 2013 in the Foundation Phase: Phoebe Kalman
The Intermediate and Senior Phase prize-giving took place on Tuesday, December 3. The following children received deserving awards:
Girl Hockey Player of the Year: Nicola Holliday
Boy Hockey Player of the Year: Karl Thom
Netball Player of the Year: Mpho Mndaweni
Soccer Player of the Year: Akhile Ntshingila
Cricket Player of the Year: Yusuf Amedjee
The Honiball Floating Trophy for Outstanding Achievement: Karl Thom and Zander Steyn
E Müller Floating Trophy Sports Boy of the Year: Gregory Will
Harwood Floating Trophy Sports Girl of the Year: Nicola Holliday and Nadia Raffenberg
Chess Master Trophy (donated by Mr and Mrs T Honiball): Keaton von Rauenstein
Wade Trophy for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts: Duane Lauwrens
Trophy for the Best Academic Progress in the Intermediate and Senior Phase: Angelique Nero
Durham Award for General Knowledge in Grade 5: Stefan Thom
Friis Trophy for General Knowledge in Grade 6: Rachel Steenkamp
Dundee Lions Club Trophy for General Knowledge in Grade 7: Rianna Ramdharee
