St Dominic’s Academy Academic Awards Evening

St Dominic’s Academy Newcastle recently held its High School Academic Awards Evening with Jacques Terblanche as the guest speaker.

Jacques has a genetic disorder that affects his ability to move; he depends on assistance and medication to make the activities of life manageable.

According to Jacques “…the worst kind of life any man can live is a life without purpose, and the greatest disability is not a physical one, but rather a

cripple’s attitude towards life.”

His ultimate goal is to help people to see the consequences of a negative attitude on their lives, and the power of

playing the hand each of us is dealt (and having fun doing it) in living a life of true value.

We wish to congratulate all our students, especially the 2013 trophy and award winners.
