Reaping a crop of A-symbol matriculants, Newcastle High School will remember 2013 fondly.
Four of the Class of 2013 earned five distinctions in their final year, seven achieved four A symbols and another five were proud to receive three highest-symbol passes.
Impressively, seven pupils completed their high school years with an A aggregate.
The top pupils of the Class of 2013 were Halalisani Zulu, Khethabahle Mcunu, Nosipho Xaba and Enriqueco Naidu, who amassed 20 distinction passes between them.
Halalisani is considered the top matriculant of NHS for this year.
Busisiwe Masinga, Hlengiwe Mbatha, head girl Jade Lee, Lutfiyya Lakhi, Tanay Kalideen, Geraldine Khuzwayo and Sinenhlanhla Zulu achieved four A symbols each.
Lungisizwe Habile, S’phesihle Gumede, Samukelisiwe Nkabinde, Zubeida Desai, Awande Mlaba and Thembalethu Dlamini matriculated with three distinctions each.
