Phumelelani proud of computer lab

The official handing over was honoured by dignitaries from EKZN Wildlife, the departments of Health, Education, as well as police, principals, teachers, parents and learners from neighbouring communities

Phumelelani Primary School hosted a launch for its Computer Laboratory on Monday, November 25.
The Computer Laboratory was donated to the school by Albaraka Bank jointly with the Muslim community.
EKZN Wildlife negotiated with the sponsor on behalf of the school.
The official handing over was honoured by dignitaries from EKZN Wildlife, the departments of Health, Education, as well as police, principals, teachers, parents and learners from neighbouring communities.
The keynote address was presented by Dr B Mkhize CEO of KZN Wildlife.
He adopted Phumelelani Primary as a social partner and pledged to assist the school get a library in 2014.
This was after a request from learners.
The programme of the day was spiced with a variety of performances i.e. umshado, poetry, gospel and indlamu by the school and Ubuhle bamaHlubli.
The school hopes that these computers will not only benefit the school but also the community as the school currently hosts ABET classes.
The school extends a word of gratitude to all stakeholders involved in making this day a success, particularly the donors.
The school does not forget the commitment Ms F Dlamini from KZN Wildlife has displayed in making the entire function a success.
