Three suspects arrested for tavern owner’s murder
The suspects are set to appear in the Ladysmith Magistrate's Court on Monday, January 27, on charges of murder and robbery

Tavern owner Simanga Hadebe was found murdered on Wednesday night.
His body was found inside a building in Area J of Steadville. He had been bound and there was a plastic covering over his head. He had also sustained stab wounds to the body.
Police are currently investigating a case of murder. The motive for the killing is not clear at this stage. The deceased was 59 years old.
Update: Following up on leads, officers from Ladysmith Detective Services and the Community Service Centre arrested three suspects in the Steadville area just before midnight on Thursday (January 23). Aged 22, 23 and 25, the suspects are set to appear in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court on Monday, January 27, on charges of murder and robbery. Cash is suspected to have been taken during the murder.
