First day at school for Newcastle Senior Primary pupils

Back to school, back to reality!

After a lovely, long and lazy summer holiday the

pupils returned to the school books on January 15, eager to face the

challenges of 2014.

For one group, however, it was an extra-special day. The Grade 1 pupils and

their parents displayed varying emotions. Trepidation for the unknown,

excitement for the new and a touch of sadness at the further loosening of the

apron strings tying mother and child. Rest assured that the ties are not gone

forever, but are now being shared with your child’s teacher who always has the

best interests of your child at heart.
