This was no ordinary start to a new school year for the pupils at Weenen Primêr thanks to an extremely generous donation of 12 new computers.
The pupils will now be having computer lessons and have access to the internet – a transformation for the pupils and teachers in this rural school, which only happened due to the intervention of Narrowtex in Estcourt. Not only did Narrowtex install the computers, but they built computer tables and secured the building with burglar guards.
This all happened during the school holidays, so the children arrived at school to something new and exciting! All role-players at the school would like to express their deepest and sincerest thanks to Narrowtex – especially Al Morris for initiating and sanctioning the centre and to Mark Sykes for managing the project! Thank you SO much for taking the school up another level!
The school looks forward to an exciting year ahead with the grade four and five multi-grade class having been split as well. The school also welcomed Mrs L Kilian and Mr L Stanley onto their staff – they are delighted to have both of their experience and expertise.
