Official LHS matric results

A total of 10 candidates achieved seven A symbols each

You are probably aware that Ladysmith High School’s (LHS) 2013 matric results were, once again, excellent. The school entered 222 candidates and achieved a 99.54% pass rate. 82% of LHS candidates achieved admission to a Bachelor’s degree. 358 distinctions were achieved across all subjects. In 12 of the 17 matric subjects, the matrics achieved a 100% pass rate.

A total of 10 candidates achieved seven A symbols each. This number may increase with some re-marks still to be done.

The top achievers in alphabetical order are as follows: Tasmia Ameen; Zaynab Asmal; Sadiya Bux (eight distinctions); Tasnika Goorhoo; Nabeela Jogiat; Leigh MacLachlan; Claudia Mc Leod (eight distinctions – third place in the district); Nikhil Mootheeram; Nadia van den Berg; and Naadir Vorajee (eight distinctions).

True to the school motto, Per Adua Ad Alta, these academic heights were achieved through hard work. Such high academic standards are closely related to general school administration, particularly with regards to the maintenance of strict, fair and consistent discipline. “We extend our thanks and sincere congratulations to everyone who contributed to our exceptional results: learners, parents and staff members” is the message from the school.
