Michaelis School – Well done our tennis aces

THE Vryheid Regional Tennis Trials were held at the Lawn Tennis Club on Tuesday, January 28. Seven boys and nine girls from Lüneburg, Lucas Meyer, New Republic School and Michaelis School participated. The participants played a round robin and the top four players were selected to participate in the NKZN Regional Trials, which will take place on February 5 and 6 in Dundee. Congratulations to all the learners who were selected for the Vryheid Regional Team. The following learners from Michaelis were selected: Jaco Keeve and Leah Vonkeman. We wish them the best of luck. Hermannsburg Mudman: On Saturday, February 1, Leah Vonkeman, Catia Marques and Jaco Keeve took part in the annual Mudman Triathlon Event held in Hermannsburg. Leah peddled with all her might, Catia braved the waters and Jaco ran as fast as his legs could carry him. These three did a sterling job and were placed 1st in the primary school section with a time of 1 hour 11 minutes and 43 seconds. Congratulations to Leah, Catia and Jaco. We are so proud of you!
