Family blessed with five generations together

“I feel very privileged to have the generations together.”

Speaking from the La Gratitude village on Monday, Chantel Manfron said the birth of her precious Aleah seven weeks ago, meant five generations of the family could celebrate living together.

Aleah is the great great granddaughter of 92-year-old Lena Smith.

Mrs Smith was born on September 14, 1921. Her daughter is Sophia Erasmus, who is the mother of Riaan Erasmus, who is the father of Chantel and father-in-law of husband Eugene Manfron, who are the parents of little Aleah.

All members of the family reside in Newcastle.

Mrs Smith offered her thanks to the Heavenly Father for the beautiful gift of another addition to the family, concluding the birth of Aleah was a milestone for them all.
