The Museum and Tourism Passport Project is well under way.
Newcastle Senior Primary School and Mana High School already made history with their new passports.
The Grade 7 class from Newcastle Senior Primary School and the Grade 10 and 11 classes from Mana High School paid a visit to two sites accessible through the passports.
Despite inclement weather, excited pupils visited Carnegie Art Gallery and Newcastle Mall.
“The pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves and gained a valuable learning experience,” said Judy Jordan, curator of Carnegie Art Gallery.
The Museum and Tourism Passport Project gave these pupils the opportunity to explore and learn.
A competition was launched on February 27, where pupils could win prizes for themselves as well as their schools and expand their learning experiences.
