Ladysmith Secondary School (Lasec) would like to congratulate the senior pupils who were selected as prefects for this year.
This morning (Thursday), Lasec officially presented their 2014 prefects and head prefects to the school and teachers.
The other pupils were excited to meet their new leaders, and celebrated the occasion by putting on musical performances on stage at the school grounds. The new prefects will work closely with their teachers and play a vital day-to-day role in the efficient running of the school.
The head prefects are: head boy – Siphesihle Nene; head girl – Aradnah Jaichand; deputy head boys – Mikhyle Jagwant, Thandolwethu Buthelezi and Sakhile Ndlovu; and deputy head girls – Naseera Banu Ahmed, Umme Kulsoom Sayed and Vuyisile Mlotshwa.
