On February 28, Traffic Officer Nafisa Gunkel from the Umtshezi Public Safety Traffic Department attended the Estcourt Christian Academy assembly to give a talk on Road Safety and Security.
Officer Gunkel demonstrated the correct way in which to approach and conduct a scholar patrol, and also how to treat a four-way robot that isn’t working.
Selected children had the opportunity to participate in a fun and lively demonstration and were rewarded with a lollipop for their efforts.
Officer Gunkel also spoke on the importance of wearing seat belts and the consequences of neglecting such a practice!
The learners were encouraged to obey and follow the rules of road safety and the law.
