The little learners at Treverton’s Pre-Primary section have proved that you are never too young to enjoy a good cook-up and produce some appetising meals.
Since term began, they have been busy in the school’s “kitchen”, with an emphasis on baking. For Valentine’s Day, they baked special biscuits and crumpets and constructed edible houses from eggs, bread, cheese and tomatoes.
The aspiring young chefs were soon adept at rolling, chopping, blending, mixing and turning the blender on and off.
An additional challenge was cutting bread and cucumber with scissors and like all good chefs using their hands and imagination, they ended the task spreading peanut butter on their cut-outs…with their fingers!
There is no doubt that they will be mum’s little helpers in their home kitchens.
