The five Isizimele High School students accused of murder will have to wait until April 1 for their trial to continue.
Siphamandla Mazibuko (20), Thabani Langa (19) Sibongiseni Ndaba (20), Bhekamani Mazibuko (19) and a juvenile who can’t be named are charged with the October 28 murder of fellow student, Bongani Nkabinde. Siphamandla, Thabani, Sibongiseni and Bhekamani were originally denied bail for the murder.
However, a recent court application brought forward by the defence resulted in the accused being released on R1000 bail.
The case has been remanded to April 1 at the Newcastle Regional Court.
