Egerton Grade 1 pupils visited the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) last Tuesday and Wednesday. The little ones were given the opportunity to play with some of the dogs and cats that are available for adoption.
There are currently two litters of puppies who are looking for loving homes, and two pups from each litter were passed around the seated group of children. The little ones were also able to play with some of the bigger dogs and went into the enclosures in small groups.
After the children played with the dogs and puppies they asked some question and given advice on pet care and health by AACL staff member, Anna Marie Koen.
The pupils kindly donated much needed food when they went to visit. The AACL would like to thank Egerton for the donations as well as the care and attention given to the darling pets. “We hope that the children will return with their parents to take home a new friend,” said the AACL staff.
