Business Robbery in CBD

On March 26, R10 000 in cash, a camera of R3000 and airtime to the value of R3000 were stolen during an armed robbery at Voortrekker Street.

It is alleged that two suspects entered the shop. One of the suspects wanted to buy airtime, while the other was looking for an amplifier. A third suspect entered and only stood at the door.

The first suspect, already in the shop, pointed his firearm to the cashier and demanded money. The suspects then disappeared with the money and other items.

Police have launched a manhunt and plea to the business community to avoid keeping large sums of money. “Rather bank twice if the intake is too much. Save yourself from these criminals and keep your money safe,” said Captain Shooz Magudulela.
