Three suspects were arrested and stolen property recovered after a burglary sometime on Sunday night, May 18, or the early hours of Monday morning.
The burglary occurred at a factory in the Pieters industrial area. When staff entered the premises the following morning, they discovered that their workplace had been ransacked. They contacted Ezakheni police, and a housebreaking and theft case was opened.
The officers who attended the scene later received valuable information concerning the alleged whereabouts of the property and the suspects.
Following up on the information they received, Constable Dlamini and Constable Sigaba went to Ezakheni E-section and were successful in pouncing on a group of three suspects.
They found some of the property and also went on to recover stolen property that had already been sold.
The three suspects – aged 18, 23 and 26 – face charges of housebreaking and theft. They are set to appear in the Ezakheni Magistrate’s Court today (Thursday).
