A woman is lying in a coma after she was hit by a bullet when a mob attacked a house in Sithembile early last Sunday. A group of about 12 men, some armed, broke down the doors of the house after alleging an occupant of the house had earlier stabbed one of their friends.

A woman standing at the window was shot. She is recovering in Madadeni Hospital. Police later arrested five people. Others are still on the run, and there is also a search being conducted for the firearms used in the attack. It was learnt that the man who had stabbed the other man apparently settled the differences in court.
