NRS – Koor bring ‘n silwer sertifikaat terug
VERLEDE Dinsdag, 20 Mei, het NRS se koor aan die Applous-koorkompetisie in Newcastle gaan deelneem. Hulle het beïndruk met liedere wat hulle in Duits, Engels, Afrikaans en Zulu gesing het. VERLEDE Dinsdag, 20 Mei, het NRS se koor aan die Applous-koorkompetisie in Newcastle gaan deelneem. Hulle het beïndruk met liedere wat hulle in Duits, Engels, Afrikaans en Zulu gesing het.
Die koor is vir hulle optrede met ‘n silwer sertifikaat beloon. Baie geluk met hierdie puik vertoning. ‘n Besondere dankie aan ons koorleidster, mev Ria Grobler, en ons begeleidster, mev Ilse van der Walt, vir al hulle harde werk wat die optrede voorafgegaan het. Dankie ook aan mev Nyandeni wat die koorhempies geborg het.
School Governing Body election: Last Tuesday evening our parents elected Mrs S Paruk as a new member of our School Governing Body. We would like to congratulate her and wish her well for her term.
Winter sport against Glencoe: On Tuesday, May 20, quite a number of our sport teams travelled to Glencoe to play netball, rugby and hockey. The results were as follows (NRS scores first): Netball: u/9 2-3; u/10 3-18; and u/11 3-3. Rugby: u/9 20-0; u/10 17-0; u/11 5-20; the second team 22-0 and the first team 27-7. Hockey: u/9 2-0; u/10 0-0 and the first team 0-2.
Hockey trials: Last weekend, three NRS girls, Ariane Janse van Rensburg; Alison Freiburg and Siphokazi Khumalo, as well as two NRS boys, Salmaan Dhooma and Cebo Phakathi, took part in the KZN Inland trials in Pietermaritzburg. At the time of going to press, the results were not yet available.
Rugby trials: Several NRS boys travelled to Pietermaritzburg to take part in the KZN rugby trials. We are very proud to announce that Ndumiso Dludla was selected for the u/12 KZN team. Buhle Nene was selected for the u/13 KZN team that will play in the Craven Week.
