Teen stable after N11 horror smash
The young man sustained severe injuries during the crash, and an outpouring of prayers has inundated social media sites in Newcastle, hoping for his full recovery.

The passenger of the motorcycle, which was involved in the tragic collision yesterday afternoon, is in a stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit of MediClinic Newcastle.
Mariette Claassen, Network Marketing Manager for MediClinic, confirmed his condition.
“He is doing much better now,” she said. “A team of surgeons were on hand and worked hard to get him stable. He is being kept sedated in the ICU, but he is definitely not critical anymore.”

Sadly, the community mourns the loss of the policeman, the passenger’s father. “He was very friendly, helpful and dedicated to his work,” said Tersia Kruger, a colleague.
Warrant Officer Danie Nagel said “He was always smiling and a happy-go-lucky guy.”
