Two pedestrians tragically lost their lives in two separate incidents this weekend.
According to a report on the ER24 blog, just before 7pm last night a male in his early 40’s was killed on impact when a car struck him while he was walking between Newcastle and Madadeni.
Witnesses on the scene allegedly told ER24 paramedics the man had been crossing the road when hit. Sadly, medical services arrived to find the victim had died at the scene from severe head trauma.
Earlier yesterday afternoon between Newcastle and Utrecht, a truck hit a woman in her late 50’s. ER24 paramedics arrived to find the victim had also tragically died from the multiple injuries she sustained.
According to the report, local authorities will be investigating the circumstances surrounding the incidents.
