Police have launched a province-wide manhunt for Faizel Dew who they believe is implicated in the April 7 murder of a Ladysmith man, Uraj “Joe” Ahir aged 44.
Mr Ahir’s body was discovered at his home in Oswald Rapson Road, Ladysmith.
A post mortem investigation was conducted it was determined that he had sustained injuries consistent with an assault. A case of murder was opened at Ladysmith.
On May 26, police officers from the Ladysmith Detective Service and Ladysmith K9 unit arrested two suspects, aged 23 and 36 years, in the Hillside area.
The third suspect is known as Faizel Drew, aged about 30 years. He was last seen wearing a long beard and had a shaven head.
Faizel is known to frequent Northern KZN, including, Estcourt and Ladysmith.
