A ‘souper’ winter warm-up

Feeding the young and old every second monday

Dr Angel Thabe dishing out delicious soup to the elderly people in Sibongile, at the St John's Apostolic Faith Mission. The soup kitchen was organised by herself and her husband, Judge Thabe. The soup kitchen came about after Dr Thabe and Mr Thabe built the new St John's Church building to honour their grandparents, who were the co-founders of the Dundee Circuit with Rev M Ngwenya, and who passed away in 2010. Rev Ngwenya and his wife, Mrs NF Ngwenya, are still active in the congregation.
