The 39-year-old the driver of the car that allegedly killed Ladysmith Secondary School (Lasec) HOD Mrs Kalai Chetty, appeared in A-court on Wednesday morning. Mr Yudesvan ‘Joey’ Govender was granted bail of R2000.
Mrs Chetty was killed in an alleged hit ‘n run accident in Willow Drive while taking an afternoon walk with a long-time friend and fellow educator. Her death sent shock waves through Ladysmith.
Mr Govender will appear in court again on November 18.
