Ezakheni Detective Services, working with Ladysmith Crime Intelligence and a Cluster Task Team established to address trio crimes in the area, recently conducted an operation that saw them making numerous arrests.
The aim of the op was to address the crimes of house robbery and business robbery that have hit the Ezakheni community hard. From July 18 to 31, the officers worked around the clock and made 29 arrests.
The arrests included eight for house robbery, seven for business robbery, five for assault common, three for assault GBH, two for common robbery, one for culpable homicide, one for theft general, one for burglary residential and one for contravening a protection order.
