Ezakheni police nab school burglars

The two were arrested for possession of suspected stolen property

Two suspects have appeared in court after a school in Ezakheni C2-Section was broken into on Thursday, August 7.

Groceries and stationery items were stolen from the school. Quick-acting Ezakheni police officers immediately began to investigate the break-in.

Following up on a tip-off about the possible whereabouts of the burglars,  Constables V Khanyeza, NW Dlamini and T Sigaba traced the suspects to C1-Section, where an 18-year-old and a 22-year-old were arrested on Tuesday, August 12. The two were arrested for possession of suspected stolen property.

Most of the stolen property was recovered. However, according to reports, some of the items had already been sold.

The suspects appeared briefly in the Ezakheni Magistrate’s Court on August 13. They face charges of burglary and theft.
