St Mary’s targeted by thieves… again

Thieves have been relentless in stripping this church in Glencoe

St Mary’s Anglican Church in Glencoe was burgled again last weekend with thieves stealing light fittings, brass plaques and the communion chalice. The copper insert of the font was also removed.

The Damman Street church has been targeted several times over the past year. Entry was gained through the back door that had been bashed open. A burglar guard over a window had also been wrenched open..

Police are investigating.
