Murder suspects out on bail

A third suspect fled the area shortly after the incident and is still being sought

The two accused in the Ahir murder case appeared in the Ladysmith Regional Court on August 22 and are now out on bail. 

The body of 44-year-old Mr Uraj ‘Joe’ Ahir, owner of Twinkles Gym, was found lying on his bed at his home in Oswald Rapson Road on Monday, April 7.

The case has been remanded to Friday, September 6.

A third suspect, Faizel Drew, fled the area shortly after the incident and is still being sought. Police are appealing to anyone who knows where he may be hiding to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Dave Warmenhoven, on 036-638-3415 or 083-340-0875.
