A man was attacked and robbed in the Plaza shopping centre today (Monday, September 8).
The man, who is in his early twenties, was initially approached by three men while walking through the shopping complex. One of them grabbed him from behind and held a knife to his throat.
He was then thrown to the ground and robbed of his cell-phone, money and passport.
Police officers were in the Plaza at the time and managed to catch one of the suspects with the help of the victim, who gave chase after his assailants. The other two robbers ran away and eluded capture.
Sharaj Ambulance Services responded and treated the victim for slight injuries sustained to his chest and legs. He was then taken to hospital.
