Condemned house becomes an eyesore

A ruins of a house in Gemini Road are slowly crumbling into total disrepair.

A resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said the house had been disintegrating for the past three years. “It is bringing the property value of neighbouring houses down and something needs to be done.”

Apart from being an eyesore, the resident added one could not ignore the safety risk it posed.

“Someone could get hurt if they decided to investigate. There are also people who come and drink here, which also isn’t a good thing as shady characters could hide here without being spotted,” he claimed.

The municipality’s communication department was contacted to determine what steps could be taken to resolve the matter, but no statement was forthcoming at the time of going to print.
