Good co-operation between police and the community has seen two teenage suspects appearing in court on charges of housebreaking and theft.
On Monday, September 22, a resident of Ezakheni E-Section returned home after the weekend to find that his home had been burgled.
Property such as bedding, a fridge, TV, microwave and sound system had been stolen.
Police opened a case of housebreaking and theft, and immediately began following up on leads.
With assistance from the community, police took less than five days to make their first arrest.
A 17-year-old was arrested, followed by a 19-year-old. Several stolen items were also recovered.
The two suspects appeared briefly in the Ezakheni Magistrate’s Court on Monday, September 29, facing charges of housebreaking and theft.
