Every time it rains, people start wondering if it will be enough to have the water restrictions lifted. We spoke to Mr Glen Singh from uThukela and this is what he had to say…

Sufficient rain could see water restrictions being lifted if there is enough to flush the Klip River out completely. If the river surges quickly enough to flush it out, then water can be extracted again.

Yesterday (Wednesday), the river was still too dry and slow for this to happen.

Therefore, it looks like water restrictions will be a part of our lives for the foreseeable future.  In the meantime, everyone can keep their fingers crossed and hope for more rain.
