Three men have been arrested for the brutal murder of a 63-year-old pensioner in Glencoe.
Police were called to 41 Paul Sauer Road in Valleyview, Glencoe, last Wednesday by a woman who said her father, Ismail Dlamini, had been attacked and left for dead in his house.
Upon their arrival, police found the body of Mr Dlamini – a pensioner – in the house. He had suffered bruising around the neck and chest and there were also bruises on his back and on one of his legs. Detectives said he had also been stabbed several times.
An extension cord was found under his body and a hammer was also found on the scene. Two television sets and two DVD players valued at around R4 500 had been taken from the house.
The following day, detectives arrested three men aged between 19 and 25.
On Friday evennig, Detectives Zuma and Maharaj received information that some of the stolen goods had been stored in a house in central Dundee.
Police are now looking for two more suspects, Sabelo Dlamini – believed to be Mr Dlamini’s son and Siphelele Mdlalose. Police believe they have fled from area.
