Local businessmen help the Mngadi family

Local businessmen in Craigside were touched when they heard news of the brutal murder of Sakhile Mngadi (25) who was stabbed to death.

According to Sakhile’s sister, Lethiwe Mngadi, her brother was killed after a dispute involving R10.
It is alleged that the accused had an argument with Mr Mngadi after he, Mr Mngadi, claimed that R10 had disappeared from his home while the accused and others were visiting his home. An argument ensued during which Mr Mngadi was fatally stabbed.

Last Thursday local business people from Craigside, led by Mr TP Khulu, invited Endumeni Mayor, Thulani Mahaye, and ward councillor, Thoko Makaba, to be present when they gave R2 200 to the family. Lethiwe told the Courier that she is the only one who is supporting her family.
“We are a family of ten and I am the only one who is employed.”

Miss Mngadi is employed as a security guard. Mayor Mahaye promised the family that he will assist them with other funeral arrangements. The accused was arrested after he was handed over to the police by his father. Other local business people are requested to come together and help the community during difficult times.
