Six die in horror smash

Six people have died in a crash on the Vryheid/ Nongoma road on Sunday evening

A bakkie reportedly overturned, said EMRS spokesman, Robert McKenzie.

“Sadly six people have died in the crash and paramedics treated a further eleven patients, who had survived the crash. The patients had sustained mostly serious injuries.

“The patients, were transported to local health institutions, including Vryheid hospital for continued medical care,” said Mr McKenzie.

The Police are investigating the incident.

It has been a busy weekend for paramedics who have attended to multiple crashes over the weekend.
