Two armed men barged into a house in Foxglove Avenue, Acaciavale this morning (Tuesday).
The lady of the house is still in shock as she relates to the Ladysmith Gazette journalist of what happened.
She heard a loud bang on the window and went to investigate. When she opened the kitchen door to get a better view she was shocked when 2 men barged and pushed her inside the kitchen.
They then dragged her to the room and hit her with a metal rod on her head pushing her on her 3 month old baby boy.
With tremendous pain and fear in keeping her baby safe, she held on tightly to her baby while the men ransacked her rooms.
‘I can’t believe this happened to me but I am so thankful to God that my baby and I are safe”, says the upset lady.
Before leaving, the men helped themselves to a pot of curry and had their own way in the kitchen, making a terrible mess.
The distraught woman phoned her husband who in turn contacted the Police and Sharaj Ambulance Services. Both service providers were on scene within a few minutes.
No arrests has been made yet.
Jewellery is stolen including other valuables. Police are investigating.
